Dirk's dialogue, both spoken and typed, is depicted in rad orange monospace in the comic.

I tag with bracket/action style, and usually color his textual communication. If you find the colored text annoying as hell, let me know and I'll stick to clean classic texting format.

FOURTH-WALLING

Dirk's a pop-culture aficionado of the 90s/2000s, and may be familiar with your character's canon depending on the context. I generally avoid having him fourth-wall anybody and usually check in ahead of time, but if you'd like to explicitly opt-out of that here, let me know!

Holy fuck, I love romance.

Dirk is a pretty specialized character on that front when it comes to reciprocating, however. And by specialized, I mean in all cases it is dudes (especially dudes named Jake English).

Romantic tension with folks he's not interested in is totally fine and pretty canon, though. (Sorry, Ro-Lal.)

Cross-canon shipping is also A+ and very welcome, but I do like to build up to it.

I generally stick to PG-13, but don't mind 18+ threads if we've been tagging a bit already and are pretty familiar with each other's style.

Canon: Epilogues Content

I ain't caught up, so Dirk's canonpoint only ranges up through post-Collide and the Earth C snaps.

However, I'm totally down with playing against characters coming from what appears to be the batshit insane timelines down the road. There's great tension/angst potential there, I can feel it.

THE USUAL

Fourth-walling: OK (kinda canon anyway).

Threadjacking: OK (definitely canon).

Backtagging: OK (we got lives, man, and I'll let you know if I'm not feeling the thread as much if it's been a while).

Flirting/hugging/kissing: OK (range of responses!).

Fighting/Injuring/Violence: OK (combat's his thing).

Gore: ASK (I'm OK with contextual gore, rather than gore for its own sake, pretty much).

Death: ASK (conditionally immortal makes this interesting!).

Telepathy/Mind-Control: ASK (It's possible but probably difficult; canonically his mind is a fucking brick of "nah, son" to the point where he's able to resist some attempts at mind-control/alteration, whether intentionally or not).
